Daily Dank is looking for Trainee Journalists/Bloggers who can help us write stories to the website. You should be enthusiastic, reliable and committed to our values, have some journalistic ability and be able to spare free time. You must have a have a passion for topics we write about.
This is a voluntary position and would be ideal for someone who wants to break into journalism, build their portfolio and develop their craft. We will try and give you as much help and guidance as we can. However, this position could also be filled by a non-journalist who wants to contribute and can learn fast.
We are looking for someone that is well organised, able to work to deadlines, communicate well and provide well-written work on a regular basis. You shall also be able to prioritise, work efficiently and be readily available to liaise regularly with the management team.
Candidates must have written work available for viewing. Acceptable examples include personal blogs, pieces written for websites/blogs, pieces written in leisure and/or any other written work which you feel is relevant to the role.
Key skills required for this role:
- Excellent ability to write in standard English and be based in the UK
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management
- Proficient in IT
- Target driven
- Able to carry out relevant research and development work
- Must write regularly and commit to providing posts regularly
